Caitlin Lowry is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in treating adolescents and adults experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, and difficulty with life transitions. Caitlin has nearly ten years of experience in the field and is owner and founder of Tailwinds Therapy.

Caitlin utilizes a variety of interventions to individualize her client’s treatment based on her training and expertise. With a client-centered approach, she builds trust and creates a safe place for clients to discover their individual strengths and find real solutions for their struggles.

In addition to conventional therapy models, Caitlin is formally trained to provide Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. She maintains a dual certification as both the mental health professional and equine specialist through the Equine Assisted Growth And Learning Association (EAGALA).

Therapy services are available for individuals, couples, families, and groups. Equine services are available for those ages 8 and up and traditional office therapy services are available for ages 5 and up.

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) combines certified mental health treatment in partnership with horses to provide an alternative to traditional therapy. This service is different than therapeutic riding as it is provided using ground-based therapy interventions that are focused on reducing mental health symptoms.

No previous horse experience is necessary to benefit from services.
