Hi there! It’s Caitlin with Tailwinds Therapy!
I am popping in to share about my current policies and plans for continuing therapy services following the recent school closures and safety precautions that have been implemented around COVID-19, also known as the Coronavirus outbreak.

I know a lot of people are starting to feel the worry and anxiety associated with the possibility of quarantine, economic changes, and possible illness. I plan to continue to support you and your family during this time.
As of 3/15/20, I am continuing to provide regular office sessions as well as equine sessions to clients. I am also integrating a new telehealth platform to provide online sessions if preferred. My current plan is to continue doing the work I do while taking safety measures by following good health protocol as recommended by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and following orders from local health authorities. If any changes are made to my schedule or plan, I will reach out to you as soon as possible to make arrangements.

As a solo-practitioner, most days my office is a relatively slow traffic area. I am making extra efforts to clean and sanitize between sessions and making efforts to reduce the traffic in my waiting room. In effort to be mindful of any individuals who are part of a high risk population, I kindly ask that if you are not feeling well, or if you have been exposed to anyone who is ill, that you request an online session, or reschedule for when you have recovered. There is a bathroom at the end of the hall if you would prefer to wash your hands before or after sessions and as always, there is hand sanitizer in my office.

If you are interested in transitioning to telehealth (online sessions), please let me know. I have added a page to my website with more information that you can see if you click here.
In addition to the consent forms signed for office-sessions, there is a form you will need to sign to consent to online or phone sessions. I can provide you a unique link that will bring you to the page for your session once it is scheduled.
It is important if you utilize superbills for reimbursement to check if your insurance plan covers telehealth for therapy as some plans do not.
The CDC offered a wonderful article about ways to cope with the stress associated with COVID-19 and I encourage you to check it out.

We are all in this together and I appreciate your participation and understanding.
